The Caves of Hercules (Grottes d'Hercule) are a significant archaeological and tourist site located near Cape Spartel, just outside of Tangier, Morocco. They are known both for their natural beauty and for the mythology associated with them. The caves have two openings, one facing the land and the other facing the Atlantic Ocean. The sea-facing opening is known as "The Map of Africa" due to its silhouette resembling the African continent. Over time, the constant beating of the waves against the limestone caves created this unique shape.
